• This ensemble is the first Upper Choir at the Tucson Girls Chorus (typically 6th-8th grades).

• The Mariposas typically perform in 6-8 concerts per year throughout Tucson, and travel within the state.​

Central- Tuesdays, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Musical concepts include (but not limited to):​​

• Introduction to identification of intervals and triads

• Music reading skills through solfege and rhythmic concepts

• Development of vocal independence through learning two, three, and four-part repertoire

• Development of physical and mental stamina during rehearsals

• Continued development of vocal technique, breath control, and effective rehearsal techniques
